[Catalist] Excellent ATAR Bio resource

Good morning all,
A book has just been published by Dr Phil Groom and Prof. Byron Lamont titled 'Plant life of SW Australia; Adaptations for survival'.
Dr Groom was leading researcher and lecturer on adaptation of SW Australia at Curtin University (he taught me). Prof. Byron is a Distinguished Professor (Emeritus) in Plant Ecology at Curtin University. He has been studying the ecology and ecophysiology of the southwestern Australian biota since 1969 and is known as the 'Father of SW Ecology'.

Their book an invaluable resource on adaptations of SW flora, drawing information and resources from research conducted in WA. There is currently no other book available that collates such information into one resource. The book contains chapters on: evolution of WA flora, fire and drought adaptation, parasitic plants, pollination strategies as well as much more. It will be invaluable for the 11 ATAR Biology outcome on Australian flora adaptations for water loss and would be a fantastic addition to your school's library or science department book shelf.

The book is $80 and is hardcopy and in colour. If you would like a copy please email me and I will contact Dr Phillip Groom who is currently selling them personally. He is hoping they will be in Boffins books in the city soon.
