Hi All,
If you are a Department of Education employee then the following may be of interest to you.

GLOBAL CORPORATE CHALLENGE

FREE FOR ALL DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION STAFF

On 5 April 2016, the Department launched the Global Corporate Challenge<https://www.gettheworldmoving.com/portal/25457-13916/department-of-education-western-australia> (GCC), a 12-month team-based on-line health and wellbeing program free for all staff in Department of Education schools and other workplaces.

The program incorporates physical activity challenges for all fitness levels and a range of health modules and information related to nutrition, sleep and wellness.

The initiative is one of a suite of health and wellbeing initiatives<http://det.wa.edu.au/edemail/detcms/corporate-communications-marketing/ed-e-mail/2016/edition-12---22-march/health-and-wellbeing-of-staff-and-students.en?cat-id=16742620> implemented this year within the context of the Director General's statement, Building a culture of high performance and high care in every school<http://www.education.wa.edu.au/home/detcms/navigation/about-us/publications/director-generals-statements/>.

Registrations are now open for Department of Education staff. Follow these steps to be part of this exciting initiative:

  * Staff can register<https://www.gettheworldmoving.com/portal/25457-13916/department-of-education-western-australia> their teams of seven using their Department email address and nominate a team captain and team name.
  * Any staff not part of a team can email the GCC organisers<mailto:doewaregistration at gettheworldmoving.com?subject=Find%20a%20team> who will find a team for staff to join.
  * Schools and workplaces can have as many teams as they wish so everyone can be included. Lots of schools have everyone participating.
  * Once registered, team captains will receive starter packs for their teams, which include GCC pulses - a device to track daily activity
Join the hundreds of school teams already registered and compete against thousands of participants around the world.

Prepare for an amazing virtual globe trek starting on 25 May and make a commitment this year to achieve your health goals.
