10k to 40k years ago, the coastal plain extended out to rottnest. Find yourself a nice bit of Tamala limestone from this time, eg off the carpark at point peron at rockingham, and see weatheted rhizoliths, snails and shells in the calcretious breccias that form there. If you give me a hoy, and im around , i might even show you because it is 5 min from my home.

Cheers, Leon

Hello Fellow Science Teachers,
Can anyone suggest to me somewhere within two hours drive of Perth where I can take my daughter fossil hunting?
Best wishes,
Frank Hill
