Hi All,
Below are details of a great holiday experience for your students and their parents, and especially for you, your children or grandchildren. Share the details with other Science teachers, Media teachers and Geographers in your school/institution.

You could also consider a STEM (STEAM) excursion, as this is a great addition to a Maritime Museum cross curricular excursion for your students.

The virtual reality documentary The Antarctica Experience runs until 14 Oct at the WA Maritime Museum in Fremantle. The audience wear headsets and immerse themselves in a 20 minute, 3-D visit to Antarctica.

It uses cutting edge technology, 360-degree high-def video, 3-D sound, drones and choppers to film what is basically a day in the life of Australia’s Antarctic scientists. The vision and sound are stunning, and it’s a good explanation of the science behind Australia’s Antarctic program.

FYI, some stories on the doco … make sure you view the trailer/video!
