[Catalist] Perth Observatory Alternative Night Sky Tours for school children in March

The Perth Observatory site will be closed for a few weeks from the second week of March for maintenance.

Alternative Night Sky Tours over this time period will take place at Lesmurdie Senior High School on Saturday 9th, 23rd and 30th March. We will be taking 6 of our telescopes to the Lesmurdie Senior High School and running our Night Sky Tour from their oval.

We are also offering your school a special 10% discount on your booking.

We’ll have a sausage sizzle on the night and our Volunteers will take you on a grand tour of the Southern Hemisphere’s sky with a wide range of targets including Nebulas, planets, dying stars, and enormous star clusters.

In the event of a forecast for bad weather, the decision to cancel the tour will be made at 2 pm on the day of the tour and all ticket holders will be contacted via email and phone using details provided during the booking process. You will then be given the option to receive a refund or transfer the booking to an alternative tour date/time.

The Perth Observatory is a not for profit organisation and depend on sales from our Night Sky Tours to keep our  historic and unique organisation running.
