Hi All,
Please share the following opportunity with your students.

Girls in Science After School Forum – 21 November, 137 St Georges Terrace Perth

L’Oréal Australia in partnership with Curtin University and Telethon Kids Institute invites you to attend the second Perth-based Girls in Science forum, hosted at Curtin University St. Georges Terrace venue on 21st November 2019.

Join the Australia and New Zealand L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Fellows, inspiring early-career researchers chosen for their outstanding achievements in their fields. The students will have an opportunity to hear from the Fellows, including their scientific interests and the discoveries they have made. Each scientist will give a short, engaging presentation followed by a Q&A session.

The event consists of two parts:

• 5.30 - 7.00: Presentation, Panel Discussion and Q&A with three Fellows

• 7.00 - 7.30: Snacks provided followed by a networking session with the Fellows and young researchers from Curtin and Telethon Kids Institute

It’s a free event, for girls aged 10 to 17 (Year 5-12). This is an after-school event, so make sure to bring your parents or guardians with you.

The event is to connect young girls with a passion for science and provide them with the opportunity to hear about the Fellows' research and experience as scientists, as well as discuss the potential for future study and careers in science.
