The Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science 2021
The Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science are Australia’s most prestigious and highly regarded science awards. These awards include two prizes for primary and secondary teachers who have made outstanding achievements in science, mathematics or technology teaching.
Nominations for next year’s Prizes will open on 2 February 2021.
All teachers who actively teach science, mathematics or technology are eligible, they do not have to be a specialist STEM teacher. Recipients receive $50,000 in prize money, and are presented with a medallion, lapel pin and certificate at a formal awards event.
Nomination should reflect the diversity of the communities that the Prizes celebrate, so we encourage you to consider nominating someone from a group traditionally underrepresented in science, such as women or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.
