Hi to all, hope that you are having a restful and pleasant holiday.

A friend of mine who is a geologist has a son who is fascinated by
Minecraft and the rocks therein. They have collaborated to make an
interesting holiday event, which would work well as pd (boy, there will
be a lot of WA geology there).

The friend, Steve McCabe runs the most exquisite bush food pds, and I
can testify to that as I have paid personally to attend them, and have
used the knowledge extensively at my school. This will be well run,
pitched at late primary school, but with many links and options for
others. Your kids will love it, and I daresay you'll get a lot out of it
too.

Anyway, if around at the time, please consider the event:

Cheers,
Leon

Have you ever wanted to know more about the rocks in Minecraft? Do they
exist in real life?
Come to the theatre of the State Library and discover the similarities
and differences between the minerals in the game and the real world from
a Geologist and a 10 year old Minecrafter.
Bonus!! Children will take home a real-life version of a rare Minecraft
rock!
