Dear STAWA Members,
I hope this email finds you well. As many of you will be aware, ECU offers annual ATAR revision workshops, free of charge, for Year 12 students. In previous years we have run these as a face-to-face program. However, due to current COVID-19 restrictions, and to be able to confidently plan for our 2020 sessions, and ensure we still offer support, now more than ever, to our Year 12 students, we will be moving this program to an on-line event. To complete our planning of the event, and before we open registrations, we just need to recruit one final member to join our team.
To complete our team, we are now recruiting a current Physics Teacher and welcome expressions of interest from suitable candidates.
ATAR Revision Sessions
The sessions will be delivered during the September/October 2020 school holidays. Each teachers will deliver a 4 hour on-line session (with breaks), in their specialist subject area. ECU will support all on-line resources, streaming and student registrations. Although the event is to be delivered on-line to students, we anticipate the teacher/presenter will attend the Joondalup campus when delivering their session, to work alongside out IT team and on-line moderator.
Essential Requirements
Presenters employed by ECU for the purpose of conducting ATAR revision sessions must be a current teacher of the course they are presenting. In addition, they should be experienced in their subject area and should have recent ATAR level marking experience. Current examiners for their subject areas are NOT eligible to become ECU ATAR presenters.
I am happy to answer any questions you or your colleagues may have, including queries about remuneration and preparation timelines.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Michelle Austin
