If Scientific Literacy has been falling over the last decade, it can hardly be blamed on something that happened a couple of months ago.

I am not sure what the point of this e-mail is, nor why it has been copied to everybody.

Please can someone clarify this for me?

I contend that students spend too much class time on school curriculums that include programs like

Racism No Way has been copied and pasted from the USA including resources on Black Lives Matter and the murder of George Floyd.
