STAWA is a partner in the Einstein First Project lead by Prof David Blair at UWA.

A team from the Project has written a book, Teaching Einsteinian Physics, to provide guidance and support for teachers.

Teaching Einsteinian Physics

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the VIP Launch of an important new book: Teaching Einsteinian Physics in Schools.
Speakers will include The Honourable Robert French AC, Chancellor of The University of Western Australia, and the books editors Emeritus Professor David Blair, winner of the 2020 Prime Minister’s Prize for Science, and Dr Magdalena Kersting of the University of Oslo.

The book is an outcome of the Einstein-First project, an international initiative led by UWA, to deliver a new science curriculum for primary and secondary schools that will lay the foundation of future careers in science, technology and innovation. A hands-on approach starting at primary school, teaches our children about the awesome discoveries of modern science that underpin all modern technology.

Following the launch refreshments will be served and the passionate team of young educators will demonstrate the activities in the Einstein-First workshop space that inspire teachers and students alike.
