Good Morning Teachers

Are your students the best in the state when it comes to science knowledge? Murdoch University is celebrating National Science Week for the entire month of August with a state-wide science quiz competition. Students will compete against their fellow classmates and other schools for prizes and science clout. There will be two competitions running concurrently for Perth metro schools and regional schools.

The metropolitan school with the highest average score per student will win a performance of Murdoch University's Live and Explosive Science Show at their school or on Murdoch University's Perth Campus for a full day excursion for up to 120 students.
The regional school with the highest average score per student will win $500 to put towards the cost of visiting Murdoch University for up to 120 students on a full day excursion culminating in a Murdoch University's Live and Explosive Science Show.

Terms and Conditions apply

When: Any weekday in the month of August 2021
Where: At your school (metropolitan only) or online via our secure learning portal
Who: Year 9 and 10 students
Content: 4x rounds of 10 questions each exploring Science in School, Science on the Screen, Science in the Wild and The Science of Food
Duration: One class period (50-60 minutes)
Class size: Single class to a whole cohort of Year 9 or Year 10 students (note we can do both year levels at your school but that will require two separate quizzes)
Technological requirements: Each individual requires their own internet accessible device.
