[Catalist] Year 12 General Biology long term study

Hello educators,
I’m new to teaching the General Biology course and need some inspiration for a long term biological study. Does anyone have ideas for a long term biological study that worked well with this subject? Or perhaps you have a suitable source of online secondary data we can access? Or local ecosystem fieldwork suggestions?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
