The exam was far too long

So many long calculations relying on mathematical and algebraic techniques
(pendulum question) It is not a maths paper!

No much on torques

Students were dismayed by the question on coal useage. I stil cant guarantee
the answer - and I teach physics far too complex with all those percentages!
