Good morning,

Looking for a fun, educational activity to celebrate National Science Week next month? Murdoch University’s Outreach and Ambassador team will be delivering the Scintillating Science Quiz competition to Year 9 and 10 students for the whole month of August. With places still available, your students are invited to join thousands of other participants state-wide for an interactive quiz that covers the Year 9 and 10 science curriculum, science innovation and general science trivia.

The details are as follows:

When:
Any weekday in the month of August 2023 (we are booked out for National Science Week)
Where:
At your school (Metropolitan schools only) or online
Who:
Year 9 and 10 students
Content:
3x rounds of 10 questions each exploring different topics of science
Duration
One class period (45-60 minutes)
The quiz can be delivered across multiple periods at the school (back-to-back lessons preferred or no more than one hour between repeat sessions).
Class size:
Single classes up to whole year group cohorts
Both year levels can be accommodated in one session. For quizzes delivered at school (face to face), all students participating must be in the same venue
Cost
Free
Technological Requirements
Each student requires their own internet accessible device. For face-to-face sessions, venues must be equipped with a projector/screen and WIFI accessible computer.

  *   Preferred date(s) for the quiz
  *   Method of delivery – face to face (metropolitan schools only) or online
  *   Session time(s) and year group of students
  *   Expected number of students in each session

Places are limited so I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible to secure your place.
