Hi All,

I have contacted Sue personally to organise a replacement copy of her son's book.

The issue relating to the glue failure was addressed in 2018, at which time we had the book spiral bound. Most students and parents who have had this problem with their copy have contacted us directly (admin at stawa.net). The printer rebinds the book with spiral binding. Unfortunately, we do not know how many older versions booksellers have on their shelves. We also suggest that students be advised not to forcefully flatten the book as this pushes the sections apart and separates them from the cover.

A gentle reminder, please avoid adding attachments, particularly large one, to Catalist posts.

Good morning,

Apologies as I am sure this is not the correct email address for my concern, but there is no other listed that I can find.

I just wanted to show you the quality of the book I have just purchased for my son in Year 12.
This was what happened on the first day in class when he opened it.

The quality is appalling. My son said 'This is how they are, you should have seen the rest of the class's books by the end of last year, it's just the STAWA ones'

I think you need to have a good hard look at whoever is printing your products.  School books are expensive enough.  I have two children, the second already would never be able to use this as I'm sure the book will be in tatters by the end of the year.

Products manufactured for sale are meant to be produced to suit the purpose of use.

This book, and apparently books from previous years, do not fit that criteria.

If my son did not HAVE to have this book to complete Chemistry in year 12, it would be coming straight back to you.

Very disappointing.
