I would just like to share this upcoming event below that may interest secondary school students.


Submarines have been in the news a lot and they are important here in Western Australia. But have you ever wondered how a submarine works? How they move through the water and know where they are going? What makes them rise and fall? Or how long people can stay underwater for so long without being crushed by the pressure? Or maybe you’ve thought about working in or with a submarine.

Take the plunge and submerge yourself in the world of submarines with Greg Nancarrow, Staff Scientist at Motium, and the Australian Institute of Physics for a special event at John Curtin College of the Arts.

This talk is perfect for students in Year 9 and 10 and their families, teachers and even those with an interest in physics and/or submarines.
