<div>I am not sure how you go about teaching covalent bonds and then go into hydrocarbons etc, but I use modelling kits to help (ball and stick is one, and the newer plastic types). I came across a new way which is done by magnets, so they are really quick
to demonstrate molecules and for students to do it for themselves.</div>
