Hi Nardia,


My name is Peter van der Kwast from South Coast Baptist College.


We entered the IYPT (International Young Physicists Tournament) in Brisbane where the best physics 'battlers' represent Australia in Russia this year. Our two students won the competition for our school and made the team to go to Russia. This is a worthwhile and high end competition. We have conducted a tournament in the same style at SCBC inviting local schools and hope to do the same this year.


We also have our own Year 7 Science Fair which students generally take quite seriously. Of course, there is also the Titration Stakes (Chemistry)


I don't know if this is what you are thinking of or need advice about.

I hope this question fits the purpose of Catalist, my sincere apologies if that's not the case.

A university academic colleague who's on a school board has asked me what science competitions, expos, events or programmes are around these days in Perth.  I've sent her the link to your Student Events webpage (plus the webpages for Scitech events, National Science Week and Scientists in Schools), but I'd be most grateful if you can suggest any further local events I may have overlooked.  Clearly it's a very broad question but I think she's looking for events their school could participate in or perhaps run themselves.
