Good morning all,

The Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR) will again be holding the Science in the Cinema event on Wednesday, August 23rd at Scitech (flyer attached).

This year we are screening "Gattaca". The scientific themes within this film are many and will set the scene for a lively discussion between students and our expert panellists: Professor Peter O’ Leary (Curtin University, Faculty of Health Sciences), Associate Professor Meredith Blake (UWA, School of Law) and Associate Professor Richard Allcock (UWA, School of Biomedical Sciences).

The cost is $5.70 (plus $0.30 booking fee), which includes food and drinks. As with the previous years, this is heavily subsidised by ASMR to encourage maximum student attendance. If you are interested for your students to attend, please book now via the link below, as tickets sell out fast. Also, please feel free to pass this information on to your colleagues that may not be interested.

Thanks and Regards,
