[Catalist] FREE Science PD - ASELL workshop at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School June 2nd

Hi everyone

ASELL is hosting a full day workshop at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School, in Gelorup (just South of Bunbury) on Friday June 2nd. This is an opportunity for you to participate in experiments throughout the day, and analyse them by completing questionnaires and surveys.

The objective of the ASELL Schools Inquiry Slider workshop is to engage you in reflecting on:
(a) the importance of investigations in building students capabilities and understanding.
(b) tools (slider and examples) which can support teaching science via inquiry.
*     Teachers from the college have submitted some of their existing science investigations whether they are exemplary or require improvement.
*     Teachers will receive feedback from both students and other teachers about their investigations.
*     Teachers reflect on and modify their investigations.
Morning tea and lunch are provided. ASELL will pay for relief teachers if this is required. Please arrive at 8:15 for registrations - workshop will start at 8:30. The day will end at approximately 3.30pm.
