Hi Catherine,

Thank you so much for replying to my post on Catalist and for providing me with some very useful documents. This is most generous of you and I hope one day I can return the favour. Your program has set me off on the right direction with my assignment 😊 If you could please make the concepts live that would be useful as I haven't been able to open the hyperlinks.

I just have a couple of questions regarding the program. Firstly could you please explain how you created the worm farms with your students and what you meant by "do urban shade"? Secondly can you please provide more detail about what you did in the Laboratory investigations/experiments? That would be extra helpful.

Hi Christina and other interested Integrated Science teachers

Teaching Integrated Science students is a complex interaction between the syllabus, your students, your area of expertise, your personalities, time constraints, resource availability, and collegiality to name a few variables!

I have included a link to my Year 11 Integrated Science website. I built this originally for students to use but many don’t access it now since they are supposed to do this through Connect.

I maintain the site as a “pedagogical repository” as one of my colleagues commented. I have many of the pages “hidden” until the concepts that I am teaching become “live”. I would be happy to reveal them if you think this would be useful to you.

Dear Catalist members,

I am currently studying a Graduate Diploma of Education at Murdoch University. I was hoping you might be able to help me out with my assignment for Teaching Science. My assignment is wanting me to address the Integrated Science General curriculum. I need to focus on the topic of energy and was going to look at Unit 1 Biology and Earth Systems. I was wondering if you had access to some useful resources I could use to address the SU, SIS and SHE components of the SCASA? Or if someone could kindly provide me with a sample of a teachers program for unit 1? Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
