CONNECTIONS WITH THE COSMOS – A John Curtin College of the Arts Community Astronomy Night and Professional Learning for teachers

  In partnership with Edith Cowan University, John Curtin College of the Arts is hosting a FREE Astronomy night for its school community (i.e. students and their families) and prior to the event a TDS one hour PL session for teacher on how they can bring some Cosmo's inspired, integrated STEM learning into their own teaching practice.

If you are interested in the night sky and how we connect to it, come and explore all things astronomical with us! Whether it is space rocks, telescopes, celestially influenced dances and music performances, the naming of exoplanets or touring through the universe in time and space, there are lots of hands-on activities to explore.

Come to one event or both.

When: 20th of February 2018

Where: Curtin Theatre and surrounds, John Curtin College of the Arts
    90 Ellen Street, Fremantle WA 6160.

Teacher Professional Learning :

          Time: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
          Venue: Curtin Theatre

Community Event:
Time:  Events begin formally at 7:00 pm with a welcome in the Curtin Theatre, followed by activities in and around Curtin Theatre until 9:00 pm Telescope viewings will commence at 8:00 pm.
