Year 11 and 12 Focus on Mining Camp 2018 - Registrations Now Open!

Do you want to feel the rumble of trucks and a distant explosion, inspect an operational mine site, rub shoulders with industry professionals and learn about the role of science and mathematics in the mining industry?

If you are currently studying in Year 11 or Year 12, and this sounds like the adventure you are looking for, then come and join us for five days as we experience what the mining industry in WA is really like on a Focus on Mining camp! During the camp, students will tour operational mine sites in Perth and the South West area, participate in hands-on workshops on campus, and meet lecturers, students and mining industry leaders. The camp is sponsored by the Curtin WA School of Mines (WASM) and industry.

When: 26th November 2018 - 30th November 2018

Who: Year 11 and 12 students from WA schools who have an interest in mining sciences and would like to consider studying mining-related courses at university, and are interested in working in the mining industry.
Where: Commencing at WA School of Mines, Curtin University, Bentley
Cost: Completely Free of Charge. All travel, meals and accommodation is provided
