Dear Regional Science Teachers
We have recently had a school pull out of our WISE women showcase for March 2020 and so a spot has become available for 25 students from a school to attend.

Thursday 26th of March 2020

10:00am - 3:00pm, Murdoch University, South St Campus.

Join Murdoch University's WISE Women Program on Thursday 26th March for regional and remote students to explore women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and entrepreneurship where STEM careers are demystified! Students will learn how STEM provides them with a platform of skills from which they can launch successful careers in research, education, business, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Parents, teachers and girls in years 8-10 are invited.

Students will attend a keynote lecture from a successful STEM professional and participate in a Q&A session with a diverse panel of inspiring and high achieving women with STEM qualifications. Attendees will engage in practical hands on STEM workshops in disciplines including forensic science, animal science and mathematics. During lunch, students can discover more about different STEM career opportunities by exploring our interactive showcase. There is also the opportunity for a follow up visit to your school where a female scientist will share her journey and experience as a woman in STEM, including relocating from a regional area to Perth to complete tertiary studies.

Lunch is provided to all attendees.
