 Teacher Development School Event

Where: John Curtin College of the Arts and online via Webex

Cost: Education Department Nil / Other contact for more information

The night sky has been a source of wonder that has inspired humans for centuries in myriad ways. It has inspired us culturally, spiritually and scientifically, and we each connect to it in different ways. Astronomy is a fantastic way to engage and inspire students, regardless of how they might connect to the Cosmos.

Connections with the Cosmos in partnership with the Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory, will give attendees first-hand information and professional learning from WA’s leading astronomers in both Western and Indigenous Astronomy. This coupled with dance performances and a variety of activities from John Curtin’s own Community Astronomy Night will provide inspiration for teachers to take back to their schools.
