Murdoch University’s National Science Week goes virtual
Join our Murdoch scientists as we celebrate all things science. This year all Murdoch’s activities will be accessible online.
Murdoch University Virtual Science Excursion
Tuesday, 18 August from 9:30am - 12:30pm         Chemistry, Physics & Engineering
Murdoch will hold a unique virtual science excursion morning aimed at Years 9 - 11. This event includes a lecture by an eminent scientist in the field, a virtual tour of our labs and of course some experiments. There will also be a Q & A session with a panel of Murdoch lecturers, students and professional staff.
Excursion timetable:
9:30 - 10:30 am                 Keynote lecture with opportunity for Q & A
10:30 - 11:00 am              Recess break
11:00 - 11:30 am              Virtual lab tours and experiments
11:30 am - 12:30 pm       Q & A panel session where students can submit questions
Attending classes will be provided with activities to complete during the week. This will include a themed breakout box and a themed quiz where schools can compete to achieve the highest score. These can be administered anytime during the week when it suits your class timetable.
