Hello educators,
Not long now until the year 12’s will be finished up at school for year which frees up some spare time. Next term I am considering running some science extension in the primary school of my K-12 school with a forensic science theme. I’ve been wanting to put into practice those ideas Dr Shane Tobe showed us at last year’s Future Science Conference.

Can anyone recommend other resources to set a forensic science theme for primary students? Some sort of scenario or minor crime kids could solve?
Anyone read or published any research about forensic science in primary school?
Also I am wondering about dusting off the gel electrophoresis kit and run some coloured dye through it. Has anyone found a good combination of dye for upper primary kids, or a scenario to solve?

Kind Regards,
Michael Cameron
