Good afternoon all,

The WA Museum's Virtual Lab program is back again in September, featuring Dr. Mikael Siversson.

Date: Friday 18 September 2020
Time: 12:30pm-1:00pm
Audience: Secondary students

The WA Museum’s palaeontology collection has over 1,500,000 specimens.

Go behind-the-scenes with Dr. Mikael Siversson to learn how these specimens help us understand the history of living things in Western Australian. Mikael will also discuss his own work researching shark fossils found in WA.

Mikael is the Museum’s Head of Earth and Planetary Sciences and a leading expert in fossils and Cretaceous Lamniform sharks. His current work focuses on fossils of six- and seven-gill sharks and a new family of horned dinosaurs from Cretaceous deposits in Sweden.
